To the much loved family of Denise, Please accept my most sincere condolences on the loss of an amazing woman. I had the honour of being one of the many nursing students that Denise took for senior practicum through the Bachelor of Nursing program at Brandon University. Denise instilled in me a passion for nursing, and encouraged and empowered me both during my practicum and after. She had an amazing knowledge base, and a never-ending ability to give me a logical and brilliant answer to my questions. I learned so much in my three months with her, and considered myself lucky to have such a wonderful mentor. I enjoyed seeing the smile that would light up her face when she spoke of Reece, and could feel her excitement, as Ethan was due shortly after my practicum was finished. I am going to miss our visits, and her support for me, both personally and professionally. The world has truly lost one of the greats.
