KIRCHNER: Raymond Bruce Kirchner passed away at the Assiniboine Centre, Brandon, on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the age of 83 years old. Raymond is survived by his cousin Lillias Myhr and family of Guelph, Ontario and by sister-in-law Dot and family of Regina, Saskatchewan as well as Jon, Becky, Caitlin and Matthew Reid of Wawanesa, Manitoba. Becky’s extended family were also an extended family to Ray. Ray was born July 27, 1929, an only child to Elizebeth and Christopher Kirchner. He married the love of his life Norma Leachman on September 30, 1967. Ray worked many years as a manager for the Manitoba Liquor Commission retiring in the early 1990’s. After retirement Ray took great pride looking after his home and yard. Ray was predeceased by his parents Christopher and Elizebeth, his wife Norma passed away May 24th, 1994. A Graveside Service took place Saturday, June 15th at the Brandon Cemetery. A tea followed at the Prairie Oasis Senior Center at 241 8th Street, Brandon. Memorial Donations may be made in Ray’s honour to the Canadian Cancer Society, 415 1st Street Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 2W8. A kind gentle man has left our world. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. No longer does Ray have to struggle with the sorrow and pain of cancer. Rest well my friend.
