Urns

There are many styles and materials from which to choose, in addition to many personalization methods including keepsake jewelry. The selection of the urn typically complements the final placement, whether buried in a cemetery, placed in a niche, placed as a treasured touchstone in the home or garden, or a medium to facilitate ceremonial scattering.

The virtual tour below brings you right into our selection room and allows you to look at the variety of urns available.

Wood

Wood urns are available in many species including cherry, pecan, poplar, and oak to name a few. Some wood urns can be personalized with a laser engraved inscription or by the use of symbols and medallions to make a fitting tribute.

The decision of urn placement should be considered when choosing a wood urn.

Most cemetery columbaria require an urn to be made of a non-biodegradable material when the urn will be placed in a niche for committal.

Marble

Some of the world’s greatest works of art and feats of engineering were carved out of stone. Sculptors use a hammer and chisel to etch their dreams into history. Builders choose stone for projects built for the generations to come.

Stone often plays a significant role in some of life’s defining moments in nature – jumping off a favorite rock into a cold lake, gasping at the stunning beauty of a rugged canyon, or preparing a favorite meal on a marble countertop.

Stone connects us to each other. It’s permanent and weighty. It’s a fitting way to remember.

Bronze

Almost as old as history itself, bronze art, implements and weapons from millennia past all survive to this day. In antiquity, the discovery of bronze heralded a new age for humankind. Over the centuries that followed, bronze was used by shipbuilders and artisans. This versatile metal alloy made tools and armor stronger and more durable. In a way, bronze set the stage for a better life for future generations.

All of our bronze urns, whether classic, sculpted or cold cast, are of the highest quality and craftsmanship.

Bronze is almost permanent, just as the legacy of a loved one will last well beyond their years. A bronze urn reflects the strength and enduring memory of a life well lived.

Earth Series

A touching tribute to anyone who appreciated the beauty of nature and the outdoors, our earth choices include sundials, birdbaths, wind chimes, biodegradable and scattering urns and are designed to keep memories close as you enjoy your landscape and garden.

Cloisonne Urns

Cloisonne refers to the finish of an urn rather than the material from which it is made. A metal urn, usually made of copper or bronze is, will have copper wire or a wire mesh design attached to the urn. These shapes then have enamel of all colours applied to the surface, which is then fired to become a bright and colorful work of art. This French technique reached its perfection as a result of the efforts of Chinese artisans. This ranks as one of China's major contributions to the world's fine arts.

Composite Urns

Composites are made using engineered materials and are designed to be impervious to almost all of the elements.

Composite urns are both durable and beautifully sculpted to best exemplify the loved one whose remains they encapsulate.
