Obituary for Roland Paul Joseph Boisvert

Roland Paul Joseph passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Thursday, July 16, 2020. Roland was born in the community of Laurier on September 2, 1959. He was the eldest son to René and Jeannette Boisvert and the family moved to Brandon when Roland was 11. He continued his education at St. Augustine’s School and then went on to Brandon University where he earned a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. Roland started his career with the city of Brandon where he worked for 40 years and was looking forward to retirement. Roland was always an avid sports fan and passed on his love for hockey to his children and grandchildren. He was a longtime season ticket holder with the Brandon Wheat Kings and enjoyed going with his family and visiting with friends once there. Roland was diagnosed with colon cancer in September 2019 and fought with strength and bravery right to the end. He will be lovingly remembered by: his children Justin, Aimee (Danny), and Jarryd (Jenna); grandchildren Rylan, Mikaela, Colsyn, Westyn and Gradyn. He will also be missed by his brother Michel (Susan) and sisters Lynette (Jean, deceased) and Collette (Neil). A private family service will take place at Rosewood Memorial Gardens.
