WILLSON: Patricia Anne passed away peacefully on Monday, January 27, 2020 in the Brandon Regional Health Centre Palliative Care Unit at the age of 63 years. Patricia is survived by brother David (Gail) Willson, nieces and nephew Jaime (James) Leader and their children Brandon and Conner; Zachary Willson and Sarah Willson; her aunt Mary Rohlfs; cousin Rick Rohlfs (Sharon); and cousin and best friend Laura Rohlfs (Glenn). As her brother, I am so grateful to Laura and Glenn for all the years they were there for Pat. The bond between them was so strong. Laura knew Patti better than anyone, never called her by name, just the letter P. The gratitude I feel for them both will never be forgotten. Patti was a nurse who worked many years in the palliative care unit where she passed away. Seeing what the staff in the palliative care unit did on a daily basis showed the family how Patti lived her life as a nurse. Following retirement, Patti volunteered her time to the Kiwanis Club, continuing her tradition of helping people. Special thanks to all the staff of the palliative care unit, some who worked with Patti for years and to Dr. Kaiser who made the hard calls and helped us through the entire process. She was amazing. The family will cherish Patti’s memory at a private graveside service at the Brandon Cemetery at a later date.
