Obituary for Garry Gudz

GUDZ: The family of Garry Gudz are saddened to announce his passing on Thursday, January 16, 2020. Left to mourn are his son, Kevin (Liz) and daughter Kori Oliver (Ryan), Also four grandchildren that he loved dearly, Bryce and Adlee Gudz and Conner and Chase Oliver. He also leaves behind his sister Janice (Brad) Langston, his lifelong friend and ex-wife Bernice Saunders (nee Kissock). Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his parents Herb in 2006 and Sophie in 2011. Garry was born and raised in Brandon and attended George Fitton, Green Acres, McLaren and Neelin schools. He was employed as a drywaller and then the CNR on the road truck crew until 1992. As per his wishes no formal service will be held. There will be a casual time of memory sharing and fellowship at the Sokol Hall, 33 – 11th Street North, Brandon, on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined. If so desired, donations in memory of Garry may be made to a charity of choice. We would like to thank the staff of BRHC, ICU, 300, A2 and Palliative Unit for the kind care of Garry over the past 2 months. Also, thank you to Dr. Minders for his care and support. We are very thankful to Craig Hayward and the staff at Memories Chapel for helping us through this very difficult time.
