Norma Margaret Gill passed away at Rideau Park Personal Care Home on Monday, January 13, 2020. She was born June 24, 1958, the youngest of four siblings to Doug and Eunice Gill of Rivers. She grew up on the family farm north of Rivers and attended Rivers Elementary and Rivers Collegiate. Norma bought her house in Rivers in 1985. She worked in daycare and at the Rivers Hospital Dietary Department for a time. She enjoyed social times with her friends in Rivers and walking around town. She was predeceased by her parents Eunice (nee Joiner) (1981) and Doug Gill (2011). Norma is survived by her siblings Ken Gill, Gaye (Darrell) Loree and Grant (Terry) Gill; nieces and nephews Doug (Tracey), Lindsay and Stacy (Aaron) Loree; Nick Gill; Wesley, Emily and Cory Gill. The Celebration of Norma’s Life and interment will take place at Pettapiece Cemetery in late June.
