Obituary for June Louise Zwolinski

June Louise Zwolinski
The family of June Louise (Pilkey) (Farmer) Zwolinski wishes to announce her peaceful passing on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at Rideau Park PCH in Brandon, with her family by her side.

June was born on June 10, 1934, in Winnipeg. June was the daughter of Val and George Pilkey, and had two brothers George (Shirley) and Leonard (Mary) and many nieces and nephews.

The Pilkey family moved from Winnipeg to McCreary, then to Gladstone where June graduated from high school. June met Melvin Farmer and they were married July 3, 1954, in Gladstone.

Together June and Melvin had three sons, Phillip, Brent (Audrey) and Kevin (Sandra), three grandchildren Crissy (Doug), Jamie, Trevor (Alexis), and three great-grandchildren Samantha, Jessica and Leah.

June worked at MTS in Gladstone, and Woolco in Brandon. She moved to Virden in 1986, and enjoyed volunteering at Virden Hospital.

June will always be remembered for her gentle loving heart, sense of humour, love of her family and her pets. June loved to play her guitar and feed the birds on her deck.

June moved to Rideau Park PCH in 2013, and remained there until her passing.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Rideau Park for the wonderful care their Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma received.

Funeral service will be planned for the summer 2020 in Gladstone.

Donations in memory of June may be made to Rideau Park PCH Recreation Department, 525 Victoria Avenue East, Brandon, MB, R7A 6S9.
