Heaven was blessed with a beautiful angel on Wednesday, August 14, 2019. Phyllis Marie Wolfe was born on March 23, 1941 in Lowe Farm, Manitoba. She was the second of four daughters born to Annie and Jacob Penner. Phyllis attended grade school in Lowe Farm, Manitoba and continued her secondary education in Blumenort, Manitoba. She later pursued her Teachers Certificate in Winnipeg. Phyllis’ first year of teaching was in Plum Coulee in 1960 where she later met her soul mate Johnny Wolfe in 1962. They married shortly after and remained soul mates until her passing. Phyllis leaves to mourn her husband of 56 years Johnny Wolfe, daughters Bonnie (Randy), Sandra (Dean) and Meloni (Tim). Grandchildren Barry (Kara), Valerie (Daniel), Sarah (Mike), Stephanie (Kyle), Samuel and Danielle. Great grandchildren Payton, Abbigail, Brock and Quinn. Phyllis was predeceased by her parents Annie and Jacob Penner, mother and father-in-law Justina and David Wolfe, brother-in-law Gary Friesen, sister-in-law Hilda Henry and niece Vivian Harder. Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her family baking, gardening and playing with her grandchildren. She taught her grandchildren how to love unconditionally and always put family first. Playing bingo was also a favorite pastime. Phyllis cherished her bingo friends and spoke often of their evenings together. It wasn’t about winning or losing, it was about the company and friendship. A Celebration of Phyllis’ Life will be held at Grand Valley Church, 1620 Braecrest Drive, Brandon on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. A reception will follow at the church.
