Obituary for Scott Matthew Phinney

Our hearts are broken as we announce the passing of Scott Matthew Phinney on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at the age of 38 years. Scott will be sadly missed by his mother Janette; father Larry; twin brother Mark (Christin) and family; step-sister Ange and family; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Scott was born in Brandon and moved with his family to Alexander where he spent most of his school years. It was there that he developed a love of country life and the outdoors, which continued throughout his life. Scott moved back to Brandon after finishing high school and attending college, and worked in construction. After work and on the weekends he could often be found casting a fishing rod at one of his favourite spots. Scott was a private, low-key kind of guy and will always be remembered for his kindhearted, gentle manner. Scott’s service and interment were held privately. He was laid to rest at the Brandon Cemetery. Donations in memory of Scott may be made to the Learning Disabilities Association of Manitoba, 129B 12th St, Brandon, MB R7A 4L8. For those who love with heart and soul, there are no goodbyes. Scott is home in the arms of God, held and healed. Scott, we will miss you dearly until we see your smiling face again.
