Obituary for Alun Humphreys
Alun Humphreys, known to friends and family as "Taffy", passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2019 at the age of 83 years.
Taffy will be forever remembered by his wife of 56 years Dorothy and their children Alf and Barb (Murray) Foster. Taffy will also be fondly remembered by his six grandchildren Jennifer (Real), Darren (Danielle), Jacquie, Brayden, Carly (Alex) and Brett and three great grandchildren Evangeline, Hunter and Phoenix.
During Taffy's time in hospital he had countless visits from his wife, family and loving dog Rascal, whom he referred to as his "little buddy". Rascal helped Taffy's passing to be as peaceful as possible and helped him smile during his final moments. Taffy's family will cherish his memory privately. Donations in Taffy's memory maybe be made to a charity of choice.
A poem dedicated to Taffy:
We miss his smile, his kindly ways,
With him we spent some happy days;
We'll miss him when we need a friend,
On him we always could depend.
If only he were here today
Then this to him we could say,
You'll always be our light even on the darkest of days
