Obituary for Garth William Pepper

Surrounded by his family, Garth William, age 66 years, passed away at Brandon Regional Health Centre on Monday, June 3, 2019. Cherishing his memory are his children Kristen (Colin), Kurt (TJ), Evan (Shantel) and seven grandchildren Benji, Tacie, Addison, Tucker, Nixon, Lennon & Sawyer. He will also be sadly missed by his sisters Linda (Larry), Karen, Bonnie (Pete) and Brenda (John) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Garth was predeceased by his parents, his brother and one nephew. Garth spent most of his life in the Swan Lake area with the last 19 years residing in Brandon. Garth loved sports, especially hockey. Spending many years refereeing, he always watched the game through the eyes of a referee. It didn’t matter if it was NHL, WHL or even his grandkids. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart and treats with grandpa were common. Garth wore his heart on his sleeve and touched people through his work in the medical field, handi-van service and taxi. He had a huge heart and tremendous compassion for others. He taught his family the importance and value of chivalry and kindness. Sincere thanks are extended to the team at the Intensive Cardiac Care Unit, Asper Building, St Boniface Hospital as well as the Brandon Regional Health Centre. The Celebration of Garth’s Life was held at Memories Chapel, Brandon, on Saturday, June 8, 2019 with Arlene Robertson officiating. Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery, Pilot Mound.
