Condolence: I was saddened to hear of Roy's passing, but at the same time had pleasant thoughts of Roy's better days in Killarney and his connection to the Scouting movement there. He and my dad spent a lot of time working on a scouting project not because of what it would do for them, but rather what it would do for the youth themselves. They really wanted the kids to experience something fun in the outdoors and would go to great lengths to set that up. Even as a young man, I had great opportunities to see the energy that Roy put into his day job or his outside passions. This world has lost one of the good ones, but now maybe he can start fresh again.
