Obituary for William "Bill" John Badham

William John "Bill" Badham, age 65 years, passed away suddenly at home, in Brandon, on Thursday, January 31, 2019. Bill was born on October 7, 1953 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to Moses and Dorothy Badham. He received his education in Moose Jaw, Notre Dame in Wilcox, Saskatchewan and Neelin High School in Brandon. In younger years, Bill worked as part of the Rivers Police Service then to the Victoria Inn for 33 years being in charge of security operations working straight nights. He loved going for coffee with friends, especially Wayne, Art, Larry and many others. Bill was passionate about trains. He treasured his train trips with his Dad as a child and took many wonderful journeys with his wife Rose in recent years. He loved travelling across Canada, especially to the Rocky Mountains and making countless trips to BC, visiting his favorite sites. Always looking for wildlife he was especially thrilled if he could see a bear. Bill took pride in his yard, always making sure that the lawn was immaculately groomed and enjoyed watching the birds from the patio window. Bill will be deeply missed by his wife, Rose, daughter Lanney Badham (Mike Bauche), sister Wendy (Vince) Barcellona, nephews Rob (Leanne) Barcellona, Salvatore (Jodi) Barcellona, Brian (Teresa) Barcellona, niece Michaela Kilbride and families, half sisters Darlene (John) Van Mulligan and Ellen Preston and families. He was predeceased by his parents Moses Christopher and Dorothy and sister Susan Kilbride. A time of viewing will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Brandon Cemetery on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Salvatore Barcellona, Robert Barcellona, Brian Barcellona, Michael Bauche, Tim Nickel, and Colin Nickel. The Funeral Service will follow at McDiarmid Drive Alliance Church, 635 McDiarmid Drive at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Darryl McAuley officiating. Donations in memory of Bill may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, #3-2430 Victoria Avenue, Brandon, Manitoba, R7B 0M5 or to a charity of choice.
