Condolences

Condolence From: Brenton Crowhurst
Condolence: I was looking up old Brandon friends today. I had that tune in my head (you all know the one!), Alexander Beetle. I, too, am shocked and saddened to learn today of Susan's death. I have always remembered her fondly as a caring friend. My deepest condolences to her family. To Orton, Jeff, and Nancy from her family of origin, and to their families. And also to friends and those whose lives she touched.

Condolence: I was heart-broken to hear of Susan's passing. Susan was always an encouragement to me and also my Dad who often spoke kindly of Susan and how he liked to speak to her at church. She was such a wonderful person to write and dictate cards of thanks to all the people who offered their support during her illness, as one of the last things she did on this earth. I will miss her and I offer my deepest sympathies to you all and I'm praying too!

Condolence From: Alison Barr
Condolence: I just heard yesterday evening of Susan's passing. We became friends very quickly the year she moved to Brandon and we were in the same elementary classroom at Alexandra School. Everything that has been said of Susan was true of her at that young age of 8 or 9, perhaps we were 10. In junior high our interests took us in different paths, but Susan always remained one of the loveliest people I had ever met. She was forever positive and warm and happy for those around her; while remaining true to herself. My sincere condolences to Susan's daughters, to Nancy, and family. Alison Barr, Victoria

Condolence From: Diane Murray-Charrett
Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Susan. My Mom, Marilyn Murray, thought very highly of Susan, and enjoyed getting to know your family in the years they attended Broadway First Baptist. I sang in the Broadway choir for a few years when I lived in Winnipeg, and I believe I learned some of the songs Susan wrote and enjoyed sharing them with the Sunday school kids at Broadway. I can recall seeing Susan hold her beautiful little girls on her lap and being in awe of all the love that was present between them. May the love and creativity Susan had and shared with the world, live on in her daughters. I pray that peace will be with all her family at this difficult time. Diane Murray-Charrett

Condolence: Condolences to the entire Anderson family. I have very fond memories of growing up across the street from this wonderful family. Lots of time spent laughing and doing things like taking over their garage for a haunted house or going to Junior High Grad with Susan. Incredible memories and friends. The pain you feel from losing loved ones truly shows how much they were a part of your life and my heart is heavy.

Condolence: What a heartbreak. I first met Susan when we attended Baptist Leadership Training School. She was a gifted musician who added spunk to the class. Happily our paths crossed again when Ed and I moved to Winnipeg and attended church with her clan. Susan connected so honestly and created community with intention - we joined in many Spaghetti Suppers at their home. Our love to her dear ones at this sad time.

Condolence: Although I didn't know Susan well, I did know her to be a delightful person, full of creative ideas and not afraid to act on them! I enjoyed seeing her anytime we came in contact - just as many others have remarked, she was a warm and vibrant person, who connected with people and who put a special light into the world. Our thoughts are with her and all of you in her extended family. We were all so saddened to hear of her passing, but are remembering a life with much love and celebration in it.

Condolence: Our deepest condolences to the Anderson family. I had the pleasure of Susan's friendship during high school. Although we did not keep in touch, I did enjoy hearing any news or updates from others who did. Susan was a fun and loving friend. She has left her friends and family far too soon, but I am positive her wonderful caring traits will live on with her children and family. With sympathy...

Condolence: I was shocked and saddened to hear of Susan's passing. We became good friends in our teen years through youth activities and camp. We knew all the Anderson clan well growing up as Susan's uncle Jack was our pastorwhen I was a young child. Susan was always full of life and a friend to all. Her love of music guided and shaped her life. May the family find strength in this difficult time. We are all richer for what she brought to our lives.

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of Susan's passing. I knew Susan fairly well when we were both younger, first through Camp, through Baptist youth activities, and then as classmates at Baptist Leadership Training School in Calgary in the early 80s. She was a gifted musician, and had a quirky sense of humour. We lost touch over the years, but I kept up with her life through mutual friends. Please know that you are all in my prayers, as I remember times spent and experiences shared with Susan.
