Obituary for Bruce Molberg

Bruce Molberg
On Thursday Nov. 1, 2018, with his family by his side, Bruce Molberg, beloved husband of Donna and much loved Dad to Pam (Mike) Glutek and Kent (Tracey) Molberg and adoring Grampa to 7 grandchildren went home to be with his Lord & Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Bruce was born on May 4th, 1947 in Grandview, Manitoba to William and Merle (Shoemaker) Molberg
Their family lived on the farm at Grandview and there was lots of love and laughter and fun.
Bruce had several different jobs in his younger days. He started work in the Grandview area. He worked in B C for a time and then he moved back to Manitoba and joined Natural Resources as a conservation officer and worked in northern Manitoba for many years.
In 1971, Bruce met Donna Johnstone – the sister of a co-worker - and a lifelong love was born.
Bruce and Donna were married in 1973. Pam was born in 1974 and Kent was born in 1975 and their family was complete.
In 1977, the family moved to Brandon and Bruce took up carpentry as a trade and he worked in the construction industry for several years. He left construction and started working at Calvary Temple doing the maintenance and custodial work there. His time working at Calvary Temple was more than a job. He always considered it a ministry and he loved it there.
After his time at Calvary Temple, Bruce began working for Alex and Lorraine Myrowich doing yard work and maintenance. It was a great job for Bruce and he loved it there too. He was a gardener at heart and he could spend time outdoors, praying and talking to The Lord and he could enjoy the beauty of creation around him.
Bruce loved his garden. It was a work of love every year and he spent hours weeding and watering and fertilizing. He grew amazing tomatoes that grew so tall that he had to use a big step ladder to get up to the top to prune them and he grew flowers of every kind.
Bruce had many loves in his life and his first love was Jesus. He gave his heart and his life to Jesus in the early 1990’s and he spent the rest of his life loving Him and serving Him.
Bruce’s next loves and the ones who are left to mourn him and miss him are Donna – his wife of over 45 years and their children and grandchildren - Pam and Mike, Megan, Julie and Ryan, and Kent and Tracey, Jon, Taylor, Luke and Max.
Also remaining to mourn Bruce’s passing are his brothers Gerald and Chris(Sharon) and his sister Cheryle and nieces Christine, Tammy, Laurelie and nephew Dean and their families.
Bruce was predeceased by his parents and brother Raymond.
Bruce is with Jesus now –in the Presence of his God – joining the angels singing and hearing his Heavenly Father saying “Well done – good and faithful servant “
We miss you so much Bruce - Dad - Grampa. Remember – we’ll love you forever and we’ll see you in heaven someday.
The Celebration of Bruce’s life was held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Thursday Nov. 8, 2018 at 11.00 a.m. with Pastor Ed Creary officiating. Donations in memory of Bruce may be made to The Salvation Army, 9 Princess Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 1R8.
