We enjoyed and looked forward to the coffee times, the wonderful get togethers in each other’s homes.Rosanne was a kind loving person whose family meant the world to her.She spoke of her children and grandchildren with such pride and joy. We consider ourselves privileged to have had you Gary and Rosanne in our lives. We were all definitely touched by an angel. Gary, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Condolence: Gary, we were so saddened and shocked to hear the news about Roseanne’s passing. We would like to share our deepest sympathies and condolences with you Gary, your children, grand children and Roseanne’s family. We were so fortunate to reconnect and meet up with you and Roseanne again a few years ago in NS, when you were you were on your travels. What a happy surprise it was to see you both again after so long. Within minutes of seeing you both, it was like no time had passed since we saw you last, although it was over 25 years. Roseanne hadn’t changed a bit, she was the same funny, fun-loving and easy going friend we knew in Thompson, with a constant smile on her face. Before we knew it we were laughing until we cried, with lots of old stories and reminiscing about our time together in Thompson. Sometimes we don’t always get to see people that have made a difference in our lives and have a special spot in our hearts, and we thank you so much for giving us one last visit with Roseanne. It’s one we will always remember with a smile. We were so honored and blessed to have known this wonderful lady, she will be sadly missed by so many. Gary, please know that we are grieving with you and your family and may your many special memories of Roseanne help you get through this sad time.

Condolence: We had been away from our home emails here in Nova Scotia for the past two weeks and were shocked and broken to receive word from Gary that our friend Rosanne was gone. It seemed impossible that someone so wonderful and full of life could be taken away so soon. Johnena and I arrived in Thompson in 1988 from Cape Breton as two 20 year old kids not knowing what we were getting ourselves into. I went to work in the smelter as a millwright fresh out of school not knowing for certain what a millwright job entailed to be honest. I was taken in by a fantastic group of tradesmen. That's where I met a skinny, saucy mechanic that went by the name Lederhaus. Gary went out of his way to make me comfortable and without delay had introduced Johnena and I to his beautiful wife Rosanne. From then on when we went to a work function we went with Gary and Rosanne, they had us over for supper with their children, and they celebrated birthdays and Christmas' with us. We were two young people far from home but Gary and Rosanne made us feel like we were home. After four years in Thompson we moved back home to Nova Scotia to be closer to our families but we left some family in The Hub of the North. A few years back, after a more than 20 year absence from Manitoba we were thrilled to receive a call from Gary and Rosanne who were sitting at a tourist bureau two miles down the road. They came to our home, met our children and stayed for a couple of days to reminisce about times gone by. Rosanne was still the same girl we had always known, happy and easy to please, and when Gary and I would trade insults she would squint and shake her head with that same sparkle in her eyes that we remembered so well. We will never forget our blond haired friend that made us feel so welcome, goodbye for now Rosanne. James and Johnena Mac Fadyen

Condolence: It is with great sadness that we have learned of Roseanne's passing and want to send our sincere condolences to you, Gary, Vanessa and Aaron and families. We remember Roseanne as a gentle and kind woman with a soft, pleasant smile. One of my most vivid memories of Roseanne is of the four of us in our little Datsun, with us in the back seat while we were both pregnant with our boys, on a drive to Leaf Rapids because we had never been; and we said we'd never go again. So many moments captured in memories. We are so sorry for your loss. Dan and Dee DeAmicis
