Obituary for Mae Atkinson

Mae  Atkinson
With her son by her side, Mae Atkinson passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Mae was born and raised in the Newdale area. Mae trained as a Red Seal Chef, and dedicated her life to cooking for others which brought her great joy. She cooked at various restaurants in the Westman area. Mae was a determined woman who had many interests in her life, no matter what endeavour she took on it was done with pride and excellence. Mae was a private person but she enjoyed sitting and talking with you one on one. She gave freely of her time to help others and expected nothing in return. She will be missed by all that knew her. Mae is survived by her children James, Julia and Mary; grandchildren Alex, Emily, Samantha and Randall; mother Violet Lamb; sister Edith Gregorash; sister-in-law Carol Lamb as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Russell Lamb and brother Neil Lamb. Funeral Service for Mae will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 27, 2018 at St. Mary's Anglican Church, 401 1st Street, Brandon, Manitoba. The Oak Lake Legion Auxiliary Branch #79 will participate in the service.
