Memories Chapel | Funerals Cremation Receptions

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Margaret Phillips can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolences

Condolence From: Diane Powell(Shelvey)
Condolence: Sending sympathy and hugs to you all. Your family was part of our community and I remember your mom as one of the moms who watched out for all of us. I recall that she was a substitute teacher at Mount Vernon on occasion! May she rest in peace.

Condolence From: Scott White
Condolence: I have been searching this week, for the perfect story, the one anecdote that would sum up my time and experience with Grandma.
But I don't remember many specific stories.
What I remember are snaps of visits, the way grandma would save everything, and yet, somehow knew where everything was (even obscure bolts)
I really remember her laughter, she loved to tell us stories, not distant far-off stories, but stories about the farms and neighbors, and she would laugh, and laugh some more.
She was a true farm girl, she was very practical and pragmatic, and found pockets of joy in sewn through a hard life. I know that she was not likely always this way, but probably developed much of it to counter balance the pessimism of grandpa.
The simplicity of her wisdom and the practical nature of her advice will stay with me the rest of my life.
I will miss you Grandma, and cherish your memory.

With very much love.

Condolence From: Diane & Dave Davidson & Donna Forbes
Condolence: Diane, Dave & Donna (Diane & Bunny Thomas)
We send our condolences to the family on the passing of your Mother.
When we lived across the road for so many years our two families shared many things. Bunny & I dropped in to see your Mum recently when I was in Winnipeg and enjoyed a very interesting visit with your Mum. She was very enjoyable and we heard all about her family whom she was very proud of. Remember the good times and I’m sure she is in heaven visiting with our Mum & Dad.

Condolence From: Wayne & Marilyn Phillips
Condolence: Aunt Margret was a second mother to
me (Wayne) when I was young and
my mother was sick . I spent many
days and a few nights at their two story
house on the farm . Aunt Margret
took great care of me during this time .
Marilyn & I visited her as often as we
could and visited often by phone . I
could always find out what was
happening in Brandon from Aunt Margret
with all her connections . I will miss
being able to ask her family connection
questions as she was the last
that era .
We will miss you but are comforted to
know you have gone on to meet Uncle
John in heaven .
