Brian Paul Valcourt passed away August 11th, 2017 at the age of 62 surrounded by his family. Brian was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. His greatest joy was when family and friends were all together.
He was predeceased by his parents Maurice & Eileen Valcourt. Leaving to cherish his memory are his loving partner of 14 years Linda Davies, his children Steven (Melissa) grandchildren Alexa & Sarah, his daughter Candace (Sophie & Diesel) as well as Linda’s children Kirsten (Brian) grandchildren Ceinwyn & Grace, son Chris (Lauren) grandchildren Bethany & Bennett. Also surviving are his brother Leo (Deborah) and sisters Sharlene (Paul), Jean (Tom), Rita (Clarence) and Bev (Jerry) and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Brian was raised in Ste. Rose where he completed his education. Brian started his life long career in carpentry in Ste. Rose under the guidance of Gaston Archambault . He later moved to Brandon where he continued his trade and through hard work and dedication established his own business, Brian Valcourt Construction Inc. He was proud of his close associations with three generations of Jacobson & Greiner.
Brian was an avid baseball player, curler and golfer. He enjoyed boating and was always willing to take passengers along. Brian enjoyed his weekends at Sandy Lake and more recently at the cabin in Clear Lake. His laughter and jokes were heard throughout the campgrounds.
He was well known for supporting various local charities, however, his most significant donation was the “Gift of Life”. www.transplantmanitoba.ca
A celebration of his life will be held at the Victoria Inn, Imperial Ball Room ,3550 Victoria Avenue Brandon on Friday , September 15th between 1 and 4 pm.
