Mom was an avid self-taught crocheter and we have numerous items she has made to remember her. Mom's love of gardening and flowers was very evident with her flower beds, gardens and birthdays each year. She often talked of her enjoyable years working at Fairview Personal Care Home as a kitchen aide and then in the housekeeping department from the 1960's to mid 1980's. There were many enjoyable weekends and summers spent at the trailer at Killarney Lake. Mom was an avid shopper and would quickly "say yes" to any offer of shopping trip to local stores. Red always being her color of choice. Hilda was a resident of Fairview PCH for the past three years and always had a wide bright smile for all the staff and visitors that came to see her. She will be sincerely missed by her ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Hilda was laid to rest in a family graveside service at the Brandon Cemetery. A Come & Go Memorial Reception was held at Memories Chapel on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. with a time of reflection at 3:30 p.m. Arlene Robertson officiated.
